I just bought a Golf and I just assumed that the rims that were on it were the 15" rims that came on the GLI. So what did these rims originally come on?

I think in Europe they had a mk1 GTI "BBS" edition with the BBS body kit and 14" wheels. As to why you have them in the US, I have no idea... You have all 4?

well let's put it this way, they have 14" tires on them. I was under the impression that you couldn't stretch a tire that way.
As for the lights, the guy I bought the car from claims that he bought them at a car show. I'm planning on redoing the lights anyway and getting M3 style.

Those are BBS RA wheels & they did come in 14" (not as OEM VW). I saw them on a Scirocco this past summer. The BBS RA's were not only made for VW's. There was a BMW web site http://www.2002parts.com/html/e30_2002_wheels.html ) that sold 15" BBS RA's with different offsets too.

Well that sucks. I wanted the 15" ones. How would I measure the actual rim to make sure that it is infact a 14"?
Anyone want these? I will trade ya' for some 15"....lol

If I had 14" BBS, I would keep them. My 15" are pretty harsh riding with the 50 sidewall, and they bend very easily. The 14" gives you a little more sidewall protection for your rim.
These rims are soft...

geez, I should take a picture of the inside bends. I was surprised how bad they were. 3 out of 4 are bent like mad. I'm looking to get some Ronal LS ($100 each)from the VW buy. Click on the Ronal banner when it comes up, they are tight...
