The 7sec 0-60mph mark might be a tad optimistic, as i can outrun that Golf slightly to 100mph and can only pull ~7.5sec (0-60mph).. It´s also capable of a reasonable 135mph top speed.
Anyway a friend´s Jetta TDI150 dynoed STOCK at 150whp..not bad at all..

I got the 7.0 seconds from the March 02 edition of VW Driver mag.
I'm so glad Barnes & Noble sells VW Driver (even though it's a month behind)
