which tire size do u think is best for my 15X7.5" wheels, 215/45 or a 205/50?

205/50/15 will work fine. You'll be hard pressed to find a -45 series 15" tire.

Toyo makes a 215/45. I know either will work fine but I'm wondering the pros and cons to each

You'll have a little sidewall bulge if you go w/ the 215's on a 7.5" width rim. Stick with 205's, you'll have a much better selection of tires, and better price ranges.

on a 7.5" wide rim? What rims are you using that are 15" * 7.5" ? The oem 15" rims are 6.5" wide, and 205 series are pretty much perfect, if you goto a 7.5" wide rim the tires will have the stretch look.
I would go w/ the 215's or 225's.....however it isn't a popular size tire for the street. Some canadian tire places can get them for you.

I just spent a lil while looking at tirerack.com going through rim width ranges for 205, 215, 225 width tires. From what I see...a 7.5" wheel is too wide for a 205 as most 205 tires have a suggested rim width range of 5-6.5" a few go up to 7.5".

personnaly, i'm trying to fit tires to a set of 15x 8.5" wheels...so I am in a bind, or will be keeping my lil 14" hoops.

its a corrado steelie widened to 7.5"
i'm thinking the 215/45 will be the best bet
