i bought an 87 scirocco with a 16 v motronic injection setup, I want to take the engine out of the rocco and put it in my 87 jetta w/cis injection. Ineed to know what all i have to do, as far as w/ the injecction systems, the ecu etc...I also know that i have to switch the intake manifolds out. But looking at the rocco engine i dont see how the engine would mount right up in my jetta since none of the engine mounts seem to be in the same place. if any body can explain this please respond . I wouls also appreciate a quick overview of everything that needs to be done in doing the swap .......thanks

Get the motronic from a Jetta and then do the engine swap. The motronic that went into the Scirocco is going to be a custom setup since all of the air/fuel stuff is on the passenger side of the engine compartment. You're going to have a lot less headaches by getting the air/fuel and wiring harness from a Jetta.
