16v g60 for 600 bucks!!

Guys i need some help.. I found an 88 gti 16v with 110k on the clock.... it has a mashed fender but they only want 600 bucks for it, i drove it today and the clutch is about ready for retirement...i could buy it to use while i turbo the c and have more headaches from another dub, or pull the 16v for a rebuild and drop it in my c. i am not too psyched about the trouble but it just might be a deal i shouldnt let go. the GTI is in Mid-NH and i can give you the number if you really want it. The title to this topic alone will get you alot of views, I personally would love to do a 16v G60 or turbo, but I am not sure if I have what it takes to make it happen.
