For those of you that have done the swap howd you wire up the senders and which ones did you use where?
This is for the GLI/Cabby gauge cluster and console psi gauge.
On the dual-pole oil pressure sender, one pole (terminal) is labeled with "G", the other pole labeled "WK". Use the "G" terminal as the signal input to the gauge. The "WK" terminal can be used for the oil pressure warning light (check the sender for the pressure threshold at which the warning comes on; IIRC, most of them are activated below 1.5 bar).
Of course each gauge will have 12V and ground connections as well as the grey/blue wire (from headlight switch) for dimming the illumination.
I swapped a 16v cluster into my 85 cabby and both oil light and buzzer go off above 2k rpm. Oil pressure is fine. Local shop said that I probably need to swap the sending units off a 16v as well, since they might be a little different. Since your still using the original gli/cabby gauge cluster, maybe you would still use the senders off your 8v?
