Do i have to swap over the vacuum lines from the scirocco donor car I have, or will the stock 83 GTI vacuum lines work too? I don't know much about vacuum lines.

16v have a different intake manifold all together. What lines are you talking about?

AHaaa. That would be the evaperative emissions hoses to the charcol canister. The 16 valves had the same kind of canister and those lines can be used. You realy don't absolutly "need" them, If you want you could pull it out and save about 5 lbs. Of corse only if it's legal where you live
