Hey folks,
I own a 90 Gli and am planning for some boost via turbocharging, 5-8 psi. Do you think the stock compression will be good for a daily driver and a once a month drag car?

Based on the little bit I know, you want to drop compression. Cheapest way is with stacked aba headgaskets. Check out this link

I'll probably use 3 to get it close to 9:1.

A 9:1 compression ratio is what you would expect with 2 gaskets.
And for the original post - you should be ok with stock compression if you stay in that boost range.
