Re: 17x8.5 on an GTI...Will they okay or (Severance)

17x8.5 ET35 may or may not need a spacer, but even if you do, a 3mm jobbie from the local wheel shop only costs a few bucks and will do the trick for sure.
They will fit with rolled fenders http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif 215/40-17 is probably your best bet yes. 205/40-17 will work if you want a stretched look.

Re: 17x8.5 on an GTI...Will they okay or (97VenomGTI)

I think I'm stuck with the 35-offset, the wheels are BBS CH's and come in 17x8.5 35-offset, just want to make sure they fit before I buy them.

Re: 17x8.5 on an GTI...Will they okay or (4NRYDE)

I do not think they will fit IMHO. I have 17x8 w/35mm offsets, and Coils..
I need 8mm spacers in the rear to keep from rubbing the coils with 215x40 series tires. I had to hack the heck out of the body behind the door just to get the to rub only when 4 people in the car. I could not imagine another .5 on the rim. As for the front.. I destroyed a set of fenders from the wheels pulling on them, no spacers needed, but i think with an extra .5 on the rim i would need them. If you run like -2 camber, i dont think it would rub, but it did with -1.25 camber. Other that that... a custom flare job will make them fit nice.. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
