18x 8.5 cup 3 porsche replicas @ tirerack..... fittment questions

ok i want to put 18x 8.5 on my 2001 jetta......my question is this.... I have a 2 inch drop (H&R race & Koni adjustables) will i have any rubbing issues with my suspension setup, Eric said my best bet would be to buy 1 rim, test fit it and if it looks as if it would rub return it......is that my best bet? has anyone had any experiences with these rims?

I have them and am dropped on coilovers. I need a stock car to measure against, but I think it's 1.75".
You may need 5mm front spacers to clear the suspension properly. If anything, it'll flush them reeeel pretty.
