Gents,
My options for front streching are:
Conti ContiSportContact 2 - $107
Pirelli PZero Nero - $132
Yokohama S.drive - $89
I've spent 30 minutes looking for any of the above stretched with no luck. Which of the above stretch the bestest?
Pics would be most excellent.

Re: *** 195-40-17 Tire Stretch (Joey Russo)

Have you considered a 205-40-17 Falken 512? It's a crappy tire, but it stretches well.
There are pics of 195-49 vs. 205-40 Falkens in the tire sizes and offsets thread. Jay Lehrmann posted them, and I think Paul Wall found them for me after we both looked for 15 minutes. I can't remember what page they're on

Edit: page 13

Sometimes even the Kartell require outside information

Wheels are 8" wide.
I really do need a 195-40-17. 195-45 won't sit right.
I'm testing the water to see which of the above stretch the best.

Re: (square head)

falkens.
they're absolute ****, but still cheaper than any 195s and will fit about the same on an 8.
205/40/17 falkens on the fronts here...17x8

205 512s.
those s drives are massive, much larger than the falkens.
if you really really wanted a 195 do the contis, but neil did so and said it wasn't worth it IIRC

I like the strech on those 205 Falkens... For my application I think a little more strech would do.
Any bigger / closeups on em?
I'm new to the III forum. Who's Neil?

Re: (square head)

IMO the Falkens stretch better cause there isnt as much contact patch, and the overall tire width is less than most 205/40's. Its probably Falken's way of offering a 205/40 size, while being able to only use the materials to make a 200/40.
The conti's stretch pretty hard, and I liked them when I ran em on the ginster.
I seriously hate on Falkens for daily use, after having two blowouts, but when price comes into play, they certainly become the most attractive.
