If you could, I'd like to see some pics of how the shifter linkage is setup in the engine bay. It looks like it comes into the bay significantly higher. Edit: I just looked back at your pics, and see a pretty good shot of what I was looking for. Very Cool!
Man, that's awesome. I agree that the front end should be cleaned up. Looks like you could use a passenger side fender, and radiator support. I'd also try to tack on that GTI airdam a little better, and that should really make the car look a lot better. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Thanks for the pics of the shifter linkage. I've got some studying to do.
Enjoy!
...I spent some time sniffing around under the car a few years ago and I've thought about copying the rear setup. Theres a turnbuckle on the back running from side to side, adjusting that will change toe in/out. Then just forward of that is a watts link which limits deflection of the beam relative to the car. Clever, and weird. I'm thinking of trying it. With one wrench you could put gobs of toe in the back for an autocross, then change it back to drive home. I think that center strip thingy with the spring is just a skid plate to protect the watts link...
Thanks for the detaills of the rear suspension setup. I was thinking that is a fair amount of weight added back there, so the person who designed that must have considered it worth the weight addition and complexity. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
