Hello:

I'm in a quandary. I have my fathers purchased new 4000s. I know it needs valve seals and misc lines but it has literally no rust and many new parts . I know the car isn't loved or valuable but when it ran it was a gas to drive, miserly on fuel and for the most part reliable and easy to work on . Close to a 4 door BMW 2002...

Since it was my late fathers I'm reluctant to crush it and always toy with getting it road worthy. Paint sucks , dash has a few cracks and it has 185k on the odo.

Feel free to give me a reality check. Is the 1.7 even worth screwing with ....
