well i have a 1988 black 16v for sale. it has a completely rebuilt motor and nearly new front suspension (poly bushings, new ball joints and control arms). it has about 100 miles on it as of now. the reason i rebuilt it was because of a blown valve, but thats all. the head has been completely rebuilt and cleaned. it is a 1.8 L bottom end with a 2.0 L head. it would make a GREAT project, it runs great too. it needs an exhaust system ( it has one on, its just shot) and it needs new struts all around. for the interior, all it realy needs is a headliner and a dash ( but it dose have a dashmat http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif ) im asking $1500, but im open to REASONABLE offers. local sale prefered. thanks for looking

to awnser mindtemple's questions:
-the car is available still
-im not sure it would make it 1000 miles or not, but then again i havent tried. it hasent over heated so far though.

ant to awnser atalk's questions:
-the exhaust only seems to have a leak around the downpipe (im not to sure how good the muffler is cuse it has a little bit of rust)
-the clutch seems to be good, the shifter needs the ball rebuild thing, but i repaired all the linkage.
-the passanger seat seems fine, the drivers seat needs a little bit of help though.
-it has a motorized sunroof and yes it has AC.
-the bad seems to be rust free except for some serface rust around the battery and a litle spot on hood and on the sunroof (its all minor serface rust though)

and just to let everyone know, it dose need to be repainted, the paint on it isent to bad, the clear is coming off though (original paint). i took pics and will upload them later. thanks again

im not to sure if it would make it to cali. today i got stuck in traffic and the temp started to rise, but then the traffic cleared and i started to get moving, the temp lowered. so im not sure what that means, but there you have it.
