1991 Golf GTD-Intercooler AAZ build

Hi guys,

Now i've bought my second mk2, afterall you do need more than one.

So it's a tornado red 2 door with a diesel engine. Turbo diesel intercooler that is...80hp! 333000km and almost rustfree.

Nice man and one quick question what exactly does this orange light in the fender does? The one closet to the door. Pick up a gti a view days ago with the same thing. Is it part of the signal or side maker?

Nice, that's got to be a fun ride! When I was learning to drive my dad had a Mk4 Jetta TDI with a whopping 90hp and I still had a blast in it. I'd think that nearly the same power in a much lighter and more nimble chassis would put a big smile on my face. Good luck with it :thumbup:

I gave it a bit of a polish with menzerna FG500 and DAP 900 PRO polisher, just need to go to a much finer polish like IP2000 and PF4000 afterwards. It will be like new Red ones always polish up really nice.

G60 steelies fitted, 195/50/15 tyres, polished the rear wing...more to come soon.

to recap what i did today:

-new gearshiftboot in leather
-new handbrake lever in leather
-striped center on steering wheel
-new vw activ speakerholders in the doors with some pioneer speakers
-fischerbox fitted
-GTI golfball shifter

New doorcatchpins, adjusted the doors:

New rear window in green glas with holes for the OEM spoiler, OEM spoiler fitted.
New OEM GTI sticker round the rear window

Changed the licenseplatlighting, fitted rubbers to hold the hood to the wings, replaced the clips on the watertray. And also changed the clips on the trunk inside cover.

plans for this weekend:
-get the new interior(seats and panels)
-get the anti-theft plates and fit them.
-get some more polishing pads and products
-remove old interior(seat, panels, carpets)
-clean entire inside
-put in black carpets
-put in the new interior
-polish the passengerside and rear and hood.
-polish the windows
-properly connect up the radio

black carpets, completely cleaned the interior, amazing how much gunk/junk there was in there:

Polished the rear end, to bad the paint is ruined by a bad repair. So it needs a new layer of paint.

Put the vw logo in black and gave the golf_gtd emblem new plugs:

meanwhile i've put on the anti-theft plates and put in the seatrailcovers.

didn't have a good day yesterday.

Went to work on the golf, once arrived at the workshop i discoverd the rear vw emblem was gone

anyway went to work, the plan was to put in foglights in the front bumper. So i cut out the holes, once done i took a step back and realised it looked like ****. Didn't even feel like wiring them afterwards.

So moving on...my dad properly connected up the radio so it now goes on and off with the key.
And i installed a vdo oilpressure gauge. Just because it looks cool.

Then having to put everything back together, some hoseclamp snapped and that was that, not able to drive home in the golf Spares didn't fit so yeah bummer.

Going to try and fix it today butt i'm feeling sick so no promises.
