I just bought a Seat Toledo TDI 1.9 from 1997 with Air Con, since thursday I have done 400 miles in it. The only real issue it has is the cooling fans won't come on. I was stuck in the mother of all jams for about 2 hours on the M1 today , when it started blinking the temp light at me. I pulled over and didn't want to drive it, so I got recovered free off the motorway. The AA then came out and they said the connector for the fans wasn't connected!!! The connected it and the fans didn't come on, even with lots of revs. Also the temp gauge doesn't seem to move either. Anyway, I got back in and drove another 100 miles home with no problem, any one got any ideas.

Is the fuse blow? Fan controller damaged?

I don't know if the fuse is blown because the fuse box cover is missing!
IS the fan controller, the relay in the engine bay?
