It’s time to sell my GTI. I have literally been putting blood, sweat, and a lot of money into this car over the sixteen years that I’ve owned it. I have kept meticulous records over the entire time (even have the plane tickets from me traveling to buy it). I have just about every dime that I’ve spent on this car documented in a folder. I also have pictures of almost every modification I did for both before and afterward. Every time that a modification was done, everything was replaced with either OEM stuff or better, aftermarket stuff.

The car is definitely one of a kind and that’s why I’m asking what I’m asking. I realize some people don’t want to spend the kind of money that I’m asking and that’s fine. Take a look and move along. I’m in no rush to sell and, honestly, I’m not sure if I want to sell at all.

Currently the car has 106,xxx miles on it. I bought it with about 78k miles sixteen years ago so that tells you how much it’s been driven over the years. The bulk of the miles came in the first few years of ownership and it’s probably gotten about 1,000 miles on it in the past 4 years.

Most recently, about a year ago, whenever I did all the work for the air suspension and transmission, there was a lot of maintenance done. I did all this with the intent to drive this car daily. But my life has changed so much, it’s just not the right car for my life right now.

The only things that are not 100% are the following:
1. The rear bumper is cracked.
2. The front grill is unpainted.
3. The front boser extension isn’t exactly smooth. It could use some touch up body work to make it flawless.
4. The power mirrors work sometimes and sometimes don’t (although they’re too small to see anything out of them anyways).
5. It used to have a strut bar and still has the holes in the strut tower from that.
6. It is missing the steering column cover.
7. The reverse lights are on a manual switch in front of the shifter. This is 100% passable by Texas inspections but you will need to check with your state for legalities. Whenever I did the wire tuck, I didn’t do the reverse wire and it was easier for me to hook it up this way.
8. I was daily driving the car for the past month or two and hit a pothole and now there's a small bend in the front driver's side wheel. I may have that repaired, depending on when it sells.
