well let me tell you. i lowered my car 1.3 inches. and i have a set of 19 inch lowenharts waiting to be sold at my house. this weekend i installed my coils and i just put them up to the car for fun....if yes IF they fit it will be very tight. you might just want to go with some 18s and lower it a lil. but if you go 19's you might have to do some work. hope it helps http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: 19s on a mk3 ? (dcvento)

there was a PVW issue with a A2 with 19's!!!!!!! you can fit anyhitng.........just may require some tubbing the wheel wells or other body mods....but yes then can be done.....i think it would look sick as no one else around has 19's on a dub.....now dubs on a dub would just be insane...then you could actually be dubbin in more ways then one.....

19's will fit , you need the following

1. A perfect offest
2. Coilovers to raise the car
3. Rims that have 7.5 or 8 inch max width in size
4. Major time
I have seen 3 MK3's with 19's , it's hard work

I love the center cap "Yes they are 19's" that car looks good with them too.
Re: 19s on a mk3 ? (Gazabomb)

There's two A2s with 19s overseas I seen, and I've seen 4 A3s. Don't bother unless you're willing to do whatever neccessary to make them work. If you ARE willing to do whatever necessary, go for it..

why so huge? You can fit 22"s on our mk3s.. just without tires

You can fit 19's but remember you will rub!!!! Let me tell you again you WILL RUB!!! No matter how good the offset is rubbing will occure on the inside of your wheel wels and depending on your fender mods that too.
Things to keep in mind
215/35/18 diameter is 24.2"
215/35/19 diameter is 25.4"
This is a good size for a MK4 they use a 225/35/19, but remember it fits a mk4. they start off with a 195/65/15 when mk3's are 195/50/15. The tire side wall size it 15% larger or the diameter is about 3" larger.

ey... remember the fast and the furious jetta... 19" konig tantrums. looked a little TOO big IMO... i'd go no bigger than 18's.

You'd be riding high
I thought my 17's look too big on my car. Something about huge rims that turn me off. Not euro enough I guess.

How much do 18s rub on say, a car lowered an inch and a half ?
19s would be just plain sick though

Do it and prove all the naysayers wrong !

Couldnt have said it better myself
Everytime I think of 19s on a MK3 I see the F&F jetta....there too big IMO...if you gonna do 18s, I hope ya hook it up like Dereiks Vento...thats the only MK3 I liked on 18's.
