Hears my problem, so far ATP's chip (3rd reprogram) completely Blows Goats!!!
The chip keeps shutting the fuel injectors off after about 4k rpm so I am running my stock chip.
The issue is with 310cc injectors my idle sucks and the car wants to die but it fuels correct on the high end. With stock injectors and a cartech FMU with a 4bar FPR it still goes lean but idles well. WTF
My idea was to find a way to remove/disable the factory FPR and use just the cartech to control the 310's.
Time for the big hitters to think about this one. Also stand alone is too much money right now.

yeah the idea with the cartech would be to set a lower base fuel pressure (to match the flow of the 310's to the stock flow) then as the boost comes on you'd dial in the rising rate gain for a near perfect air fuel.
The engine management you have just isn't designed for boost. No matter how many chips you throw at it, there is always going to be the limitation of not having a map sensor, and a restrictive MAF that maxxes out its voltage range.
Another idea, is the extra injector controller (ie sds). But both of these solutions don't take into the account of timing retard necessary for mid-high boost ranges.
Thats what is going to kill your motor, if you can't pop a degree or so of timing out per psi of boost , or lower your base compression ratio more, you're gonna be stuck with something that will need higher than pump octane..

what psi are you pushing?? I know several guys stuck at about 7psi on the ATP kit with Motronic 5.9 management like you have. Lowering compression and raising octane would help power output/engine life for sure if you can get the thing to stay stoich at idle and stoich to rich at 5-6k rpms...
listen to mkrad as he is right on the money...dawes devices also makes a microfueler that starts shooting gas at a certain psi level...did you try another chip maker. Autothority makes chips for 7-10 psi setups. SDS or TEC-II is your answer if you want to cleanly/reliably push 12psi and up...

My C/R is 8.5:1 via JE forged pistons. I'm running 14psi -w- T3/To4E
The SDS is what I want to do but in the mean time if I can control the fuel pressure with just my cartech FMU I think I would be set. The ATP chip is to rich at idle and then completly shuts off the injectors at 4k rpm. mind you this is the third reprogram they have done $250+$25+$25+shippingx3 = Fuk ATP.

ok I know that this has been addressed before and that someone else other than me said that they are going to try the SMT5 from perfectpower "piggyback"
well I don't know about the other guy, but I now have the SMT5-I on my car, and actually it works, I can control my injectors flow to increase or decrease flow rate, I can also control ignition timing "advance or retard timing" and I am controling the 4 extra injectors I have on my manifold.
its easy to use, to tune and it has a LOG option that can record everything happening when u ask it to do that. for later reference and it can transfere saved data to a graph format.

I talked to George today and the problem has been that the ATP chip has been cutting out the fuel after about 4,000 rpm. He said that it may be because my brain is not accessing the "enrichment maps". Is it me or does this sound like MANURE!
