my brake booster is on its way out, and the engine it taking all of the pressure from the booster. if i disconect the main vacume line and plug the engine part the car runs fine, and the brakes have good pressure. will this hurt the engine. i only want to do this until i have the time to change the booster. also its in a a2 so i dont mind if i throw a code

if its in an a2 what are you doing in this forum?

on a more helpfull note, I dont think it will hurt anything, i ran mine disconnected for a while when I was supercharged.

when you had it disconnected you just capped it right? and not many people in the a2 forum have an aba 2.0 in their car.
