...1)well just a little while ago i was on queens blvd, anyways...while downshifting from 3rd to 2nd i heard a loud POP...this is the first time i ever heard it...wut could it be?, should i worry about it?...car still drives feels fine, the only thing is my oil was a little low, and the sound came on durring hard turns...thats one...
2)while putting some oil in, i noticed my motor was a little loose...when i would push down on the bottom left side of the intake manifold, the motor seemed kinda loose, could thisbe one of the upper mounts?...i have the turn2 bottom front mount...should i worry about it?...will my motor hit my hood?, should i drive easy?...thanks in advance for any info/help...

my car was making the popping noise when I went around turns. this disappeared the day I installed the 2 turn2 upper mounts. coincidence? I think not!

...the poping sound sounded like a backfire, happened when i gassed it and downshifted...my car has been making a clunking noise on bumps, and going onto driveways etc...thought it was a strut bearing but they were replaced like 3-4 months ago when i got my h&rs...damnit...i swear its ALWAYS something...times like these i consider selling and getting somethig else...
...any other ideas???

could have been a backfire. check your plugs/wires/coilpack. check your motor mounts and mounting bolts for them. I was getting a lot of engine movement noise too. I bought a turn2 mount for the upper rear engine to replace the factory, went to swap them and noticed that the bolt going down into the mount had broken off. Thus why my engine was moving so much. replaced the bolt, put the turn2 mount in, and smooth as ice now. if you have bad mounts, then yeah, it could possibly hit the underside of your hood. I'd look at it and make sure it's all good before doing any serious hard driving, unless you aren't worried about bangin the hood

definately DIY http://www.turn2usa.com has installation instructions for both upper mounts. all you need is a foot an a half of 3/8" ratchet extensions, 3/8" ratchet, 8 mm allen wrench, jack, a piece of wood to put between the jack and the oil pan, 13mm socket, 16 mm deep socket, lithium grease, and lock tite. Really easy, takes like 15 minutes for the rear upper and 10 for the front upper. Easy to do.

sure, I know that turn2 has had a lot of their mounts on ebay lately, probably pick them up off of there for like 20 or so less than anywhere else
