2001 Owners - what do you put in 'cubby' above monsoon radio (to fill the space)??

There's that nasty little cubby-hole above the deck on the monsoon stereo in the gti I'm thinking about buying. I'm going to get the changer so don't want to put a cd player in the space.
Also, guages are kinda useless in a stock car

What can I fill this space with??

i put my cell phone in there, and the remote for my aftermarket cd player, but im looking to put this in there

It holds 4 cd's

That looks slick! Where do I get one and will it interfere with the cup holders if its put in the top slot?? I want I want

I finally found a vendor out in CA, that sells them for 44usd, I just orderd mine. Waiting on it, should be here next week.

comb, tic tac, EZ Pass when I borrow it from dad (ya I know your not supposed to hold it by hand, hasn't stopped me yet
), PDA when I need it out (not often), and the directions for where I'm going.

I also put this where the cubby normally goes!

Notice that I also replaced the stock head unit with the Euro-spec Gamma one that has RDS.

ohhhhhhhhhhh poop!!! how mucha nd where for that headunit?!
btw, my cell fone stays in there, until i floor it in 1st gear though
then it ends up somewhere under the passenger seat... phone is a nokia 8290... too small to stay in

i just ordered one of these... talked to the manufacturer about getting one through an auth. dealer - New Dimensions. Called, Ordered, end of story... should have it by this friday...
anyone know how to take the cubby-hole out without havingt o remove the headunit?
