2002 1.8t Tiptronic chip question...

776 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  turbocharged
Is there a tiptronic chip out for a 2002 Jetta 1.8t, and if so who makes it, how much does it cost, and what are the advantages of it?
Also, would it have to be a seperate chip to the "performance" chip or could it be an "all in one type of deal."
(
My friends thinking about purchasing one).
Thanks

nothing on the market yet for a jetta or golf, there is one for the passat made by giac. GIAC is hopefully going to be working on one for the jetta/golf possibly..

I hope they make one. - what are the performance advantages of the one for the passat and can you buy the "performance" chip along with the tip chip - an all in one type of deal?

From what I have heard...It substantially decreases the shifting times when in manual mode. Factory chip take about one sec to shift from one gear to another. With the chip it, reportedly, thakes .02 secs.
The Tip chip is a separate chip. Send an email to GAIC to let them know of the demand!!
