Re: 2002 Evo (Rob)

I know Motor Trend is generally crap as far as journalistic quality goes, but I have no idea how accurate their "scoops" are. Fingers currently crossed that they're dead on.

OOC, does anyone know if the anemic base model Lancers will get some power to help them close the gap in performance between them and the EVO? Or Hell, them and the Hyundai Elantra GT?

Re: 2002 Evo (Lackey)

They(MotorTrend) are usually decent when it comes to this type of stuff. They tend to get to market very quick with few surprises here and there.
I think the pricing is BS, we all know damn well that puppy will cost you at least $28k. I've heard from various sources in the "Industry" that it would really only be sensible to sell it a price that is well into the Thirties.
Either way, if it comes here, I would want a silver one.

Re: 2002 Evo (lip)

I think the price will be right on. The more you make the less the overhead! It also shows they can make money on them in Japan at the price of 23k.
I would imagine as the articale states different seats for the US spec cars, and your talking a base model (well equiped mind you) and I see no reason why it cant be made for 25k, add some options and yes you may get 28K.
I am thinking Black with a smaller wing and remove that damn big logo off the trunk!

What parts, exactly, do the Lancer and the EVO share in common? Isn't it just the front door, roof, trunklid and dashboard?
Notice the rear wiper on the sedan. Very cool. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

If this is the case, Mitsubishi Canada should bring the EVO 7 in right away as their halo vehicle to boost this brand's image. This can ensures Mitsubishi's immediate success in a new market.
