I am considering a 2002 GTI as one of the options for my next car.
The other 2 are 2002 Maxima SE 6-speed HLSD or G35 if it comes in manual.
So the GTI is an economy option. The question is obviously between the new
200 hp VR6 or 1.8T. Will the 1.8T come with 6-speed or is the 6-speed reserved for the VR6 only ? Also is the 2002 1.8T (available at the dialerships now) a final 2002 version or will it change later in the year ?

the six-speed is reserved for the vr6 only.. too bad in my opinion..
and i think that's it for the 2002 1.8T, although it got an appreciable power boost.

actually the Drivers Edition of the 1.8T will have a 6 speed gearbox.

seems like u have money to spend...and u're not into mods.
if that's the case, wait and get the new vr6 engine..
