While I'm still waiting for my beloved Miata to get back from the body shop after being rear-ended by an inattentive Eclipse driver
, here are some 2002 Miata Special Edition pics and news. Basically, no performance enhancing changes, just all color and trim. Still, that Titanium Gray with saddle brown leather is just gorgeous!
Miata.net news: http://miata.net/news/editions.html
Text reads: For the first time in the US market Mazda will introduce two new Special Edition Miatas at the same time. The colors are Titanium Gray Metallic and Blazing Yellow Mica. Also another first for the Miata in the US, is factory black leather seats embroidered with the Special Edition logos. Other features of the 2002 SEs include a in-dash 6 disk CD changer, a six speed manual transmission, 16-inch alloy wheels, fuel door in chrome, two-tone Nardi steering wheel, a Nardi leather shift knob and handbrake handle, white gage faces with chrome trim rings, chrome accent door handles, aluminum foot pedals, chrome door sill protectors and Special Edition badging.

Two from Miata.net:

PS.: Blazing Yellow has an all black interior
Enjoy! Maybe today, they'll be done with my car...

Those wheels, and the brown leather interior, are sweet! I'll take the grey one please. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Never seen that one before...much more appealing visually than the BMW version.
