Re: 2002 VR6/Torque? (Senna 1.8T)

The 24V has the same PEAK torque as the 12V - 181 ft/lbs, but it's over a much wider range of RPMs. Something like 2200-3200RPMs.

I plan to trade a Passat 1.8T for a new GTI or Jetta GLI VR6.

What's your source for this info? The original VoA web site info for the EuroVan 24v was incorrect. That motor produces 199 ft. lb. of torque.

Very seriously considering it. I'll have to wait until the GLI is out, however.
Then, it will be a matter of determining how much cash I'll need. Of course, it would probably make more sense just to take that money and put it into my current car, and make it nuts... damn, chipping is tempting. APR in Austin or UPsolute in Dallas... mmmm... chips...
I was waiting for 24V when some kind guy nailed me in my 4runner, which required an accelerated purchase...
