Re: 2006 Infiniti M35x aimed at the Audi A6, Acura RL (Vision33r)

Isn't that a misleading picture? M35X isn't available with sports package and thus is not available with 19inch tire/wheels and lowered suspension.

thats about the slickest interior I have ever seen

I can't get used to that dash layout, however. A bit over the top IMO.

I think it's Infiniti's best effort. Works really well in practice.
The feel of the materials- way better than my 2005 g35-
With respect to the sports package, correct you can only get that with the RWD models.

So can you actually put your food and drinks on the dashboard? Looks like a nice table...

this and the G35 are beautiful cars and lots of power...
but only when these recent discoverers of AWD in sedans (Infi, acura, ford, lexus, maybe more I'm missing now) can see fit to offer AWD and a manual tranny, it will be four rings for me

true, but especially in the higher end class (aka above a4 level) very few cars are sold with manuals.

Demand is high, these are in the top 10 for cars that spend the least amount of time in showrooms before they are sold.
AWD option won't hurt.
93% do go with auto, but in the Car Lounge that flip-flops, 93% of us drive manuals.

you are right, but the new (e60?) 5-series sedans and wagons are offered with manual in both RWD and AWD configurations, and I'd say they are the real target of the M35........more so than the A6.....
OTTOMH: allroad had manual....70 series wagons (both FWD and AWD) are offered with manual

it looks a little over the top yes, but when sitting in it you feel "in" the car, it's very nice.
