NEW GENERATION RAV4
The new RAV4 will be the third generation of the vehicle which kick-started the market for sporty, compact SUVs 11 years ago. Since that time it has become a consistent best-seller, topping the European 4x4 sales charts for the past four years.
The new model promises significantly enhanced driving pleasure and performance, improved quality, wider application of advanced technology, greater interior space and a creative modular interior design. The new RAV4 will be launched in the UK in spring 2006.
INTRODUCING THE NEW YARIS
The new Toyota Yaris will build on the great success of the original model, being a more advanced vehicle with higher levels of comfort quality and safety.
The new Yaris has been designed at ED2, Toyota’s European design studio in the South of France, and is a more ‘grown up’ car in every respect.
European production of the new Yaris will remain at Toyota’s Valenciennes factory in northern France. Sales are expected to start in January next year.

Wow...these are the best looking Toyotas I've every seen. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
With current gas prices surging, both of these would do very well abroad and in US. Isn't Yaris the replacement for the Echo?

Yaris has always been the name for overseas-market ECHOs (save for Australia and a few other places).
The new Yaris has already been uncovered for a while though -- here are more shots:

Re: (Mazda 3s)

Dear Toyota: Please, please, please just put your $%!#& badge in the center of the grille where it looks 100x better, instead of having it stick up so it looks like the guy who was attaching them wasn't paying attention. That is all.

Oh, and center-mounted gauges =

Otherwise, they both look pretty decent, except for the kinked rear quarter glass on the Rav-4, I've never been a fan of that look on an SUV or other large vehicle.

Echo is the US name of the Yaris. The US version is also made into a coupe or sedan instead of a hatchback.

Any pictures of the next-gen Echo (i.e. 2- & 4-door version)?
Will there even be one in the US, now that the Scion xA and aB make the Echo unneccesary?
The 3 and 5 door next-gen Yaris/Vitzs are sick, but would Toyota dare bring them here in place of the 2 or 4-door??

That Yaris (Vitz) has been for sale for at least a year now. We won't see these cars untill 2007? Talk about a load of crap. I was under the impresion the Vitz (Yaris) would be released fall 2005 or spring 2006 as a 2006 car.
