Re: 2010 element? (Conejo GTI)

Is this a mid-cycle refresh or an all new design?

Re: 2010 element? (Sledge)

I think it looks good, and Autoblog is saying it might have refrigerator and navigation options, plus no more ugly black plastic pieces. However, for the question above, I'm pretty sure it is just a refresh.
Also, Mazda called, wants its headlights back:

Another refresh? They are really milking this platform. I wonder when (if?) there will be a proper redesign.
Regardless, the facelift looks good. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I still think the matte plastic pieces made the element what it was..the refresh looks a little dopey fully-painted ( the SC being the exception.)

Pearle Vision called- your eyeglasses are in.

The headlamps on the Tribute slope backward (it doesn't show up well in the photo, but I just got out of one about 15 minutes ago..so trust me.) ..while the Element will likely be more flat or blunted like the Pilot.

This makes more sense. I was confused as to why in the world there'd be a brochure for a '10 already.

They can if they plan on skipping '09, like how Nissan skipped '08 Murano. Difference is that government requires that cars of a given model year can only go on sale the first business of a new calendar year (so no Jan 1st) and can't overlap the same January date twice (from manufacturing standpoint).

I can't tell by the pic but are the fenders now all sheet metal?
In addition to the cooler and navigation, I'm sure a USB ipod connection is part of the list.

They already are...

I love the Element. I shopped one when I was in the market for an SUV. I did not test drive one - the 4 cylinder and accompanying price tag were a turn off. As was the black cladding. The improved body style is nice. That car needs a turbo or a 6 cylinder. In the long run I think the car has too much of a "cute factor." Don't get me wrong, I like the thing, and the concept behind the car is great, it was just not for me.

You'd swear Honda/Acura was having an "Ugly Grill Contest" and the winner gets $1 Billion Dollars.

IMO, Acura is winning the ugly grill contest. They're like silver shields.
