Hummmm.....
As a Porschephile I hate to admit that this was my very first thought. But, I bet it will grow on me and look fantastic in person.

Still a Boxster, but more aggressive. I especially like the side intake treatment (very NSX-like.) Big . Can't wait to see the Cayman.

I'll take the rear spoiler delete option for $500, Alex.
(although, I predict this spoiler treatment will grow on people)
My first thought was actually baby 918 (due to the swoopy rear fenders), not CGT. Although the intakes definitely have a CGT vibe to them, no doubt. The old-style (986/987) side intakes were always my least favorite styling feature of the Boxster. They always looked like an afterthought to me.
Overall,

What is it that they say about the Porsche designers again?

the details look nothign alike and people used to make fun of Toyota for
copying the boxster when the MR-S was first released.
fact is, they are both mid engine convertibles with similiar proportions. So they will look similiar in some regards.

Why fix something that isn't broken?
I love the new look spoiler and all.

I like it all except that aero strip going along the back and through the tail lights.

Yep. I was going to mention that in my first post, but didn't.

To a point, maybe. I think they do look a little more similar than what I'd want if I were Porsche, though. The Boxster is a little swoopier for sure.

I wish the headlights were sleeker and less "bubbly" in profile, but other than that,:thumbup:

Huh, it actually looks different-ish.
This versus a Z4 might actually be closer to a toss-up now.

I don't know - kinda looks funny with the rear cut lines and side vent - doesn't look final?

Porsche has made significant strides with Technological advances.....why not try that same approach at its exterior design?
I would be very curious to see what they could come up with. If the people don’t like, go back but take a chance.

Honestly, by first thought was to read on to see if the photo was a fake. It looked so much like an MR2. Could just be the angle. I'll need to see more photos before passing judgment.
How come no one has photoshopped this into a Cayman?

This! I think it'll grow on me, but my initial reaction is: it looks kinda bubbly. I see the resemblance in the CGT, but that's flat and long.
