Hi All,

This has been a consistent issue with my vehicle. The blindspot and rear traffic detection will stop working and the yellow triangle will illuminate. They will then just be off the next time I start the car and sometimes they will turn on and work, then the error comes again.

VW dealer says that it is an alignment issue and will cost $350 to fix. This doesn't seem right. I don't have ACC and the car drives just fine. Are they just lazy and trying earn a quick buck? Any other troubleshooting tips for this type of error?

Have you scanned the rear blindspot modules to see what the code is?

You could try another dealer and or contact VW north America customer service online.
