im pretty sure it will just go right on the motor with no problems. if you can toss a 6 speed on a 1.8t *337/20ae* you can reverse is and put a 5 speed on a 24v, since its a VW im sure the bolt paterns are the same, and it would fit just like any other tranny with the flywheel and clutch and presure plate bolted together.
why do you ask are you thinking about switching to the 5 speed?
heres a question, do you guys think that its possible to maybe get a bigger throttle body, and instead of DBW have a cable throttle? im sure its possible but does anybody know who would do that kinda thing, cause i want a cable throttle i miss it, and i think the throttle body could stand to be a bit bigger, more powa http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
