... Fun!

i installed my neuspeed 28mm rear on stock suspension last tuesday (on the middle setting) and wednesday went on vacation, driving through monsoon like conditions, heavy rain standing puddles that set off my traction control, waves flying over me from other vehicles and then hitting some ice/snow on the way back, I never once felt insecure or that my 'butt was sliding out' so I'm very happy, keeping in mind that this was windy roads at around 80-90mph, and I say dont worry our cars understeer so much stock that even the 28mm doesnt seem to bad (this is middle setting at least)
also I have an evo motorsports intake, and no muck got on it, no water got up into my engine even when i drove through puddles and such, so I feel that (for me at least) 2 water based 'myths' are proved wrong!

Re: 28mm rear bar + stock suspension + evo intake + rain for 2500miles = .... (Henry)

I like it, it's one of those things where i could be fooling myself on power gains, but i Do 'feel' that it has added power, so take my subjective measuring with a grain of salt, but I am very satisfied with the 'power' increase.
that said, throttle response is noticeably better, and the sound is quite impressive

Re: 28mm rear bar + stock suspension + evo intake + rain for 2500miles = .... (lizerd)

well, rained just about the whole way from the canadian border crossing to new haven sunday (was in toronto) and when I got home there was water on/around my evo filter. Pretty sure nothing got in and it didn't seem to be affected by the superficial water (no noticeable loss of power that would be associated with a blocked filter) so it kinda had me worried, not planning on putting the stock back in though unless I actually notice it begging for air or feel like water is getting through. This is with the h&r cupkit so I'm about 2" lower.

It's supposed to rain all week in Ohio.
I'm driving from Columbus to Cincy and back tomorrow.
I'll do yet another check and eval of the system in rain...
