I have a 2002 stock turbo apr chip, thermal exhaust and wondering which one i should get? I'm gonna get both with the high flow cat but not sure what size to get? People say 2 1/2 for back pressure or go with the 3 inch but don't run it unless you have a upgraded turbo? help me out here.

3 inch will hit and rub and vibrate without motor mounts. As for power differences I dont know, but from what I hear everyone will tell you to get 3" because bigger is better. I have the 3" ATP with cat, and I noticed some loss in low end power but a good gain in high end power. And I am running with stock exhaust still.

I'd say go with the 3"..I really don't know of too many people who make a 2.5" DP.
Also, a friend of mine has the Chris Green 3" DP with stock motor mounts and he experiences no rubbing.

I have the chris green dp and it doesn't rub at all. Oh yeah, i have the stock bushings. Definitely go 3" http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

If you go with a 3 inch DP, I recommend going with a universal 3 inch in/out Carsound cat. I just bought one from Husker's High Performance for $100 shipped. Just cut the flange and O2S bung from the testpipe and weld them onto the cat. Should save you a bit of money.

Blackdub, if you decide to go with a 3" I am selling my Chris Green 3" DP and cat for $375, it's only 1 week old. New the set will cost you $430. IM or email me if you are interested.

I actually installed a VW Motorsport Dogbone at the same time I installed my downpipe. So as far as the rubbing goes, I don't really know...none with the dogbone mount.
