3M Cleargaurd - can I polish it?

I'm getting set to strip the car down and make it look even newer, which will involve a light polish to remove small swirls. If I do this, do I need to mask the Cleargaurd? Or will any rubbing compound just ruin it?
I'll be applying Zaino over it.
Anyone?

You may "lightly" polish it, but not "compound" it.
Then apply a good sealant or wax, over the vinyl that is the material.
Use the boutique Zanio is you wish, it's your money.
