thats right, i was driving the other day and shifted 1st, 2nd, then went to 3rd. when i did this the tranny was hard to go in gear. tried to shift to 4th and it wouldnt come out.
any ideas?

It over-shifted 3rd, the sync keys popped out, and now it won't come out of gear.
You can maybe force it out, but it'll just do it again later unless it is opened and repaired. Start hunting for another used trans to put into the car.
