so if you are running alot of horse is it suggested to get a 5 lug wheel set up?
im going BBM supercharge stage 3 by next summer, and im going to get new rims, and i was wondering if it really did matter if i had a 4 lugs or 5.

Yes, 5 lug is stronger, but people run over 300whp on 4 lug all the time, plus there are a lot more 4X100 wheels options out there than there are 5X100.

IMO not really...the only thing you really gain with a 5-lug swap is better rim choices, not more rim choices tho...plus if you're running a 4-lug, more in likely your running a 2.slo under the hood...the 2.slo will never touch what a vr or a 1.8t will ever do...but then again, i could be wrong on that part due to the fact of so many vr swaps these days

Ya, somebody is a little raw that thier CAI and Fart-Cannon muffler from Vatozone didn't make thier car a rocket ship.

my mustang was 4 lug and didnt have to worry about that with 377ft lbs of torque

beat me to it.
ive seen many 700 wheel HP mustang drag cars running 4 lug.
dont worry about it for strength.

x2. The bolts only hold the wheel to the hub in tension (ie provide the "sideways" force to hold the wheel on) the weight of the car is supported by the hubcentricity of the wheels and the friction between the two faces (hub and inside of wheel). http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
