Re: "4 Motion Valance" for 2002 GTI, anybody know VW's part #? (user name unknown)

Considering the dealer doesnt have a GTI with a "4 Motion" Valance they dont even know about it on a GTI. He does understand what part it is because he has a few Jettas with the valence on....

Re: "4 Motion Valance" for 2002 GTI, anybody know VW's part #? (wgreen)

we were just talking about this last night on this forum....you need to dig more before posting

part#: 1J5-807-521-D-B41
they call it a rear bumper spoiler.
THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO STOCK IN NORTH AMERICA.....been checking for over a month every week...This is not called the 4-motion bumper...it's the standard bumper on new 2002 Jetta's with VR6's or 1.8T's....it's a running change so current models being delivered have it but earlier in the model year has the older valence.
price from the dealer is about $60-54US, here in Canada they have it listed for $82 CDN....this is cheaper than the US aftermarket shops which sell it for $90-125US or $140-220CDN here in Canada speciality shops.
