My 2017 R went into the shop for warranty service after 35 months of ownership. The issue was a timing chain rattle. It’s been 62 days so far and they say they’ve tried two engines and a turbo and can’t keep the oil pressure up. What are my options here? Do I need to suck it up and wait for them to finish or do I have some kind of recourse?

Is the car still covered under lemon law in your state? In NJ for instance, lemon law is only for the first 24 months.

They got 2 brand new crate engines, installed them and both have low oil pressure?

VW should lemon it out and swap for another car.

Go over the dealer's head and get the regional rep involved. VW is out some serious coin after two replacement engines...! Seriously, if they are about to put in a 3rd engine it would be cheaper just to give you a new "R".
