we're putting a tranny from a 66 into my dad's 59 bug... will i need to change the nosecone? it doesn't seem to want to line up right. thanks.

yes, you will need a different nosecone.
i cant say for certain which one you need though, since there are so many different ones, but i think its 60's bus.
i think you also need a different tranny mount for the nosecone.
sorry i cant be more helpful, maybe somebody else who knows for certain can tell you exactly which nose cone you need.

if they´re both standard beetles not super, the tranny should fit, maybe you would have to change the nosecone. I changed the tranny of my bug with a brasilian one, i had to put the nosecone of the tranny i was replacing
