[hoodita]

The previous owner did a very stupid thing he put some aftermarket lugs on the wheels. I cant the wheels off! I thought it was a 12 point but its not its 8 point. Does anyone know if these are available. He didnt put just one on per wheel but replaced all the lug nuts. Im just hoping that it doesnt require a special tool.

they arent locking they are a totally different type of nut. Instead of it being a hex nut its that 8 point. The size of that is the same size as head bolts.

ya, we put those on my ex-girls ride. you are going to need a "key" to get those off my friend.

i just went though this with my locking lugnuts. i broke the key, so i had to get another one. (i ordered 2 just to be safe).
i would ask the person you bought this car from where the key is.

I was afraid of that. I guess im going to have to figure something else out. I kinda doubt im going to beable to get a hold of the previous owner for that key.

Is it like an allen bolt with 8 points? Or a regualr hex bolt with 8 points? Theres a tool thats like a ez out that goes over locking lug nuts or you could try hammering in an allens witha tight fit or a 12 point allens like on a CV joint or a headbolt.

Well I did hammer on a 12 point. and sued my impact to break it loose. But it didnt
move at all. Then I tryed a breaker bar. Still didnt move. and eventually I stripped out thje 12 point. Im really not sure what to do next. I cant take it to a shop. cause it isnt very driveable and plus its not street legal yet.

Surprisingly I didnt strip them. But I stripped my 12 point very bad. I guess I wont be taking off any heads anytime soon since the 12 point that I stripped is the same one for the head bolts.

snapon makes a socket for just that spin it on ther until it gets hot slam with a hammer let cool and remove ...works great .its round inside..about 25 bux

If they are allen key style, just do what I dat to do! I didn't have the key to mine so what I did was found a bolt that fit in it. Then I put two nuts on it and then cracked it!! It worked for me but Im not too sure what your set up is!!!! BTW: You can get the "key" from any mag shop, i found out the hard way!

just go to your local garage and they will cut them with a zip gun ...way easier and they shouldn't charge you to much
