i have a 1990 Golf GL with the RV 1.8L engine, Digi II. It is stock but for a generic chip and the air meter spring trick from Ken's DigiPage.
does anyone know of any California C.A.R.B. legal cam swaps that i can perform that will increase power or, perferably, torque? my car is a sporty daily driver used for fun weekend drives.

Neuspeed 260º, Autotech 260º and 270º. There may be others, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

bump...
thanks for the tips on aftermarket cams. i'm building a low-budget rat-style junkyard dog dub. i could buy a new cam, but where's the fun in that?

does anyone know if a Corrado G60 cam offers an increase in horsepower or torque? i've got a lead on a slightly used one.
are there other junkyard cam swaps (GTi? GLi?) that would offer some increased performance?

If I remember right, the G60 cam has less overlap (being designed for boost) than the stock ones... I'm pretty sure you won't see any extra power from it.... unless you're running a turbo.

I've got TT's 268 and it's great... and $120 shouldn't break the bank. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
