Hello all,
I recently bought a 90 GLI that was missing its central lock pump. I was able to get one at the local u-pullit junkyard (free!) and the locks are working beautifully. But I have no idea how the pump is supposed to be mounted to the car. The replacement pump came from an Audi 4000 so that was no help! Pictures of a properly installed pump would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Re: 90 GLI - How is the central locking pump supposed to be mounted? (krhodes1)

Mine came from the factory just sort of bunji corded into the frame right behind the drivers side taillight in the trunk... but then again I have a Jetta, so it might be diffrent for a GTI

his gli is a jetta so it should be the same. iirc if you pull the foam/carpet back from the inside of the trunk on the right side you'll be able to put it into the cavity behind it. there should be a foam box that fits around the pump too.
