94s are closer to euro spec than other years. They have the obdI engine management system rather than the obdII, meaning they are easier to mod without getting check engine lights. They have the european fenders that can have sidemarkers added without having to drill holes. They have textured side molding that clips in rather than being tacked on by tape. Leather interior is a little different and the guage cluster is a little different as well. Like the 95 they have the delicious bbs rims. Front grille is different and more desireable to me.
Possible issues, first year of VR6 in the usa for the A3 body platform, not many of them out there. Check basics as usual on any used car.
Good Luck samson, if you get it, I want a freaking ride!
