i have a 95 vr6 jetta and the clock flashes all different times and you cannot change the time any ideas of what it could be??

it will flash 10:01 11:02 and so onall then time unless i change the slector to something else

Those are consecutive hits of the hour and min buttons.
the next would be 12:03 right?
and 1:04?

Did this happen on it's own. Or did it start after you opened up the cluster?
I'm guessing something is pressing the buttons.
OPen the cluster and ensure the carbon inking pads are properly seated.

when i bought the car it was doing it then i went to take it out and it has never been out of the car and it was a pain to get it out but no buttons are pushed in i bought a newer gauge cluster so i dont think im going ot worrie about it
