97 GTI SUSPENSION QUESTION

how long should it take to put in bilstein shocks and struts and neuspeed sport springs.... is alignemnt a must...how much is alignment?
Oh ya its 97 gti vr6 too.

Time depends if the mech. has done many lowering jobs on Vdubs. 2 hrs with 2 people and air tools is common and a Newbie could take 4 to 6 depending on the knowledge of the person. It is a must if you don't mind buying tyres in a month or so.
