1.)I have a 1990 20v Coupe. I was wondering if the cone filter conversion will really make much of a difference besides the sound. I already removed the warm-air valve in my box, and it sounds a lot better, but not really a power difference. I was thinking of having my dad order it for me for x-mas.
2.)Next question. I haven't driven my car in the snow yet, and was wondering, is there any way to make it so the rear diff doesn't unlock @ 15mph? I don't know if it would help, but I figured if i went down any really snowy streets, i'd rather just keep it on, i dunno. I know they make it turn off b/c people forgot to turn off the diffs on the older cars. We used to have an 87 4000 quattro, which had locking rear and center, and they worked great in the snow.
3.) Did all 20v coupes come with only the Audi rings, or were the badges taken off my car? In the owner's manual it shows the car with a 20v badge and quattro badge.
4.) The owner's manual states my car has a rear "stabalizer bar". I read at 20v.org that only 91's had them. I can't see one one my car. Am I missing it??
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

IMHO, only if you have a CAI + heatshield. I have the V6 and as an experiment, I took off the engine covers, which allows alot of heat normally trapped in the "V" of the engine to escape to the rest of the engine bay. Doing this I noticed that the airbox was much hotter to the touch than normal. Ideally I'd like to have hood vents and a aircraft style hood air intake similar to those Hartge BMW's. But am I ever going to get a custom hood like that? haha, yeah right, probably not.

You need for it to turn off. When you make a turn, the outside wheels turn faster than the inside wheels do. When you hit the locking rear diff, it forces both wheels to turn the same distance no matter what. It's good for getting you unstuck or for starting from a stop going uphill, but other than that, you don't need it.

Sorry, I don't know the answers to your other questions.

Tabula is definetly right when he says you don't need the diff lock...unless your a$$ is stuck. I got my CQ stuck in mud (don't ask) and the lock saved me...had to keep it below 15 so it stayed engaged...inched my way about 10 ft in 5 minutes...whew.
As far as the cone....I had the intake box minus the foam-rubber hose/warm air intake tube and a K&N drop-in filter and I personally was more satisfied with that setup. The cone IS louder but not as deep sounding...pluss it really puts a hurting on your performance unless your cruising on the highway (getting lotsa cool air under tha hood). IMHO, I like the cone less than my previous setup...plus it's cheaper.
The "rear stabilizer bar" is the rear swaybar...or so i believe that can be upgraded to a 4000 quattro FRONT swaybar. It runs across the back of the axels and in front of the muffler...I can run out and snap a pic real quick if ya'd like

The badges were put on randomly OR per a buyers request....I'd imagine. Mine has only the rings...Ive seen other CQs with "20v", "quattro" or "Audi" in numerous combinations, so....I imagine it was up to the buyer....not sure though

Yes please! I'd like to take this opportunity to re-iterate that I hate the setup of Audiworld's forums.

Yes, please post a few pics. So that means that my car didn't come with a rear anti-roll bar??
Also, anyone know why they switched from the tubular header to a cast iron one on later models??
