I'm starting to see a lot of rabbits coming out with a-pillar. i've talked to a few people and they say they make a big difference in wind noise at higher speeds. i was wondering if someone was selling them in the states.

Re: a-pillar flairs (MkIIVR6)

Autotech still sells them? I thought they ran out/stopped selling those years ago? Man I wish I had known that when I still own my mk1 jetta. I really liked how those things looked.

<snip> ... say they make a big difference in wind noise at higher speeds.

I had a set on my 82 Rabbit for a few years. Here's my question for you: If you round the edges of a brick, is it mor aerodynamic? To a point, yes, but not what you think. They were developed by VW in a wind tunnel to be used on their cars to increase MPG. It was like a 7% increase. There is slightly less noise, but only if your door gaskets and wing window gaskets are fresh. I got mine because they were cool and not many people had them.
FYI, they're called "fairings" not flairs.
Here is a not so great picture of my Rabbit with the fairings. Maybe I should get rid of them since I don't own a VW any more
