Just a question about the AWE A-Pillar boost gauge kit. It says that its not recomend to use with A-Pillar airbags. I bought my car used about 8 months ago and was just wondering if my car would have the A-Pillar airbag or not. Thanks

not sure on the airbags but awe does make a center guage kit which is pretty cool- for further info you may want to post this on audiworld.com also

I don't think that a 1998 a4 is equipped with the a-pillar air bag. I believe it came in the most recent a4 ( I have one but it's a 01.5 ). I was gonna pay 200$ or so to get the a-pillar mount for air bags equipped. but in a recent thread, I discovered that only the top part of the a pillar breaks in order to deploy the air bag. IMHO, this a-pillar is 100% useless. Just get a normal pillar mount for ~40$ and bolt it on your original a-pillar mount. I will perform this in a week or two and will post pics.

SPP sells a version w/ OEM Fabric - I just ordered and saved $40.00

they have a group buy price going on right now.
and incidently i would order the airbag version if you have airbags in your a-pillar. a non airbag version might not open or break away correctly when needed.
